Unique Merits Of The Masjid Of Allah’s Messenger’s (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)

The unique merit of the Masjid of Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) lies in the fact that he rendered personal help in its construction, led prayers in it for years and called it his own Masjid. He has said, “A prayer offered in ‘my Masjid’ carries a thousand fold greater rewards than a prayer offered elsewhere, except in Masjid-e-Haram (the Masjid around the Ka’aba).

According to Hazrat Anas (Radiyaliahu Anhu), Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “The person who offers 40 prayers consecutively in my Masjid without missing a prayer in between, will secure immunity from the Fire of Hell and other torments and also from hypocrisy.” (Musnad-e-Ahmed)

Again he has said, “The space between my living quarters and my pulpit consists of a garden from the Gardens of Parasdise, and my pulpit is situated at the fountain of Al-Kausar (in Paradise).” (Muslim Sharif, Bukhari Sharif)

While entering Masjid-e-Nabvi, think of the great opportunity, repent for the sins and decide to lead life on the foot steps of Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). Walk slowly and humbly. Enter the Haram Sharif from Babe-Jibreel Bab-as-Salaam. Step right foot in first and recite:

BIS-MIL-LAA-HI WAS-SA-LAA-TU WAS-SA-LAA-MU A-LAA RA-SOO-LIL-LAA-HI AL-LAA-HUM-MAG-FIR-LEE ZU-NOO-BEE WAF-TAH-LEE AB-WAA-BA RAH-MA-TI-KA WAD-KHIL-NEE FEE-HAA YAA AR-HA-MAR-RAA-HI-MEEN

In the name of Allah Peace and Blessing upon Messenger of Allah O my Lord Allah forgive my sins and open for me the doors of Thy Mercy and get me entered there in, O the Most Merciful of the Merciful.

Offer two raka’at of Tahayyatul Masjid in Riyazul-Jannah [Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) has called this place a piece of Paradise], the place between the niche and the house of Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam).

Now come the Mawajeh Sharif, a placewhere you stand face to face with Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alahi Wasallam). Think of your sinful life and Allah’s favour to you to call you to Madina Munawwara fo which millions of people desire, and say:

O our beloved guide, Allah’s Peace and Blessings be upon you, we have committedsins. We have turned towards you. Pray to Allah in our favour for our betterment in this world and Hereafter. May Allah grant us your intercession on the Day of Resurrection, Aameen.

Stand humbly in front of Mawajeh Sharif neither too close nor too far. Cast your eyes down and recite Darood Sharif and Salaam seventy times in a slow, respectful, soft voice.

After offering Salaam to Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam), move a meter to the right and offer Salaam on Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Radi Allahu Anhu), the first Caliph, who lies asleep next to Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam).

Then move a meter more to the right and offer Salaam on Hazrat Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu), the second Caliph.

The Visit to Madina Munawwara – Masjid Nabawi Hadith: Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) has said, “The person who visits my grave, his intercession becomes wajib on me.”

Masjid Nabawi

Hadith: In another tradition Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) has said, “let him who can die in Madina, for I shall intercede for those who die in it.” (Ahmed, Tirmizi Sharif)

Hadith: Here is on more tradition: “The terror of the Antichrist (Dajjal) will not enter Madina. That day it will have seven gates with two angels at each gate.” (Bukhari Sharif)

Hadith: Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “O Allah, put in Madina twice as much blessings as Thou has put in Makka.” (Bukhari Sharif, Muslim Sharif)

Hadith: Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) has said, “He who purposely comes to visit me will be under my protection on the Day of Resurrection; he who lives in Madina and endures its difficulty will have me as a witness and intercessor on the Day of Resurrection; and he who dies in one of the two sacred territories will be raised by Allah on the Day of Resurrection among those who will be safe.” (Baihaqi)

Hadith: Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) has said, “He who performs the pilgrimage and visits my grave after my death will be like him who visited me in my lifetime.” (Baihaqi)

Hadith: Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) has said, “ The last hour will not come before Madina drives away its wicked people as the bellows drives away the impurity of iron.” (Muslim Sharif)

You should pass your journey to Madina Munawwara with excessive recitation of Darood Sharif, Astagfaar and Prayers. When you reach Madina Munawwara, after keeping your baggage safely, take a bath or perform wudu, put on a good dress, use some perfume and reciting Darood Sharif, proceed to Masji-e-Nabvi, also known as Haram Sharif. You should bear in mind that you are going to call at the Greatest person on earth, our best guide and beloved Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). He sees you when you face him and responds to salaam which you offer him. Our every act against Islam and disobedience shocks him as a patron. The great oriental philosopher poet Allama Iqbal once prayed:

O my Lord Allah give me whatever penalty on my sins, but show not the record of my evil deeds to my beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), as he will be shocked and his heart will break.

AL-LAA-HUM-MA IN-NEE AS-A-LU-KA IL-MAN-NAA-FI-ANW WA RIZ-QANW WAA-SI-ANW WA SHI-FAA-AN-MIN KUL-LI DAA-I

O Allah I beseech Thee for the beneficial knowledge, the excessive provisions, and healing against all sufferings and evils.

If there is no rush in Tawaaf, then you should go to Maqam-e-Ibrahim after completing the seventh circumambulation and then to Multazim for prayer. This is the preferred method and Sunnat.

To walk with normal pace from Safa to Marwah is one circuit and from Marwah to Safa the second. When you reach Safa or Marwah completing the circuite stay at the hillock for few minutes and pray for betterment and then raising the hands and facing the Ka’aba repeat the above mentioned takbeer and start the next circuit. Similarly, seven circuits are to be completed ending the last at Marwah. The male pilgrims should walk with hastened pace between the two green marks known as Meelain Akhdarain but it is not applicable to women. Recite the following prayer between the two green marks:

RAB-BIG-FIR WAR-HAM WA TA-JAA WAZ AM-MAA TA’-LA-MU IN-NA-KA TA’-LA-MU MAA-LAM NA’-LAM IN-NA-KA AN-TAL A-AZ-ZUL AK-RA-MU WAH-DI-NEE LIL-LA-TEE HI-YA AQ-WAM

O our Lord Allah forgive us. And have Mercy upon us. And overlook our evils which Thou knoweth. Verily Thou knoweth what we know not. And Thou art Allah The Most Honoured and the Most Bounteous. And show us the right path

Pray at Safa and Marwah for the whole Muslim world and yourself and your family. The Saee is completed with the seventh circuit ending at Marwah. Beseech Allah and implore Him in detail for all your needs at the end of Saee.

O Allah Thou art aware of all what I reveal and what I conceal, So accept my appeal of forgiveness and Thou knoweth my needs. So grant me what I demand. And Thou knoweth what is in my heart. So forgive all my sins.

O Allah I beseech Thee to grant me a belief which may sink into my heart. True belief that I may realize. That no misfortune may befall me. Except that what Thou hast decreed for me.And grant me pleasure on that what Thou hast destined for me. Thou art my patron in this world and Hereafter. O my Lord make me to die as a Muslim. And join me to the righteous. O Allah let not remain any of our sins unforgiven. And any anxiety unrequited, and any demand uneasen and ungranted to me. At this Sacred Place. O our Lord ease for us our affairs, and expand for us our breast, and enlighten our hearts. And conclude our affairs with goodness. O our Lord Allah make us to live as Muslim. And join us to Thy righteous. Save us from humiliation and trials, Lord of Universe. Aameen.

From Maqam-e-Ibrahim go to Zamzam well. This is about 15 metres from Maqam-e-Ibrahim and lies underground to Mataf i.e, the place of Tawaaf. Drink Zamzam in three breaths in a standing position. Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) has said that for whatever purpose the Zamzam is drunk, it is achieved. The Zamzam may also be poured or sprinkled over the head or rubbed on face and breast as sacred water. After drinking Zamzam beseech Allah for your prosperity in this world and hereafter and recite the following du’aa: What to be recited when Drinking Zamzam?

O Allah verily this House is Thy House and this place is Thy sanctuary and peace is Thy peace. And servant is Thy servant and I am Thy servant, the son of Thy servant. And this is the place to seek from Thee the deliverance of Fire. So our Lord, forbid our flesh and bodies to the Fire of Hell. O Allah endear the belief to us and beautify it in our hearts and make hateful into us the infidelity, wickedness and disobedience. And include us among the guided. O Allah save me from Thy punishment on the Day Thou resurrect Thy Servant. O my Lord Allah, grant me Paradise unexamined.

Hajj – Tawaaf-e-Vida or Farewell Tawaaf

Hajj – Tawaaf-e-Vida or Farewell Tawaaf

When you decide finally to depart from Makkah Mukarrama and Haram, perform a farewell Tawaaf with full devotion. Tears will well up in your eyes when you think that the Haram, the Ka’aba. Multazim, Maqaam-e-Ibrahim and Zamzam will be lost to you forever, Now you will, be deprived of all this benevolence. Call Allah with tears in your eyes and sobbing voice at Multazim and say: O my Lord! I am Thy humble servant. It is Thy sheer benevolence that Thou called me here. O my Lord! Call me here again and again. And record my these words today, at this Sacred Place. That I proclaim with my full belief and conscience. And from the depth of my heart. My truth and the eternal truth. Thereis no god except Allah and Prophet Muhammad (sallalaahu alaihi wasallam) is His Messenger. O my Lord, record my these words with the witness of entire universe. O my Lord, bring me back again to this Sacred Place. And if I could not come back again then preserve my covenant up to the Day of Resurrection. And make it a proof of my deliverance. O my Lord Allah, Bless me with thy pleasure. And guide me to lead to Thy Prophet, Peace be upon him, his offsprings and Companions.

After completing Tawaaf-e-Vida and drinking Zamzam finally return to Hajar-e-Aswad and kiss it thrice the last time with full reverence and love and return from it taking a last glance and reciting the following prayer:

(We are) among those who came, those who repented, prayed and Praised Allah, our Lord, Who fulfilled His promise and gave victory to His servant. And defeated His foes alone.
